These Billing Terms and Conditions govern payments made for orders placed with Birch & Basalt Co. ("we," "us," or "our") through birchandbasaltco.com. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
Order and acceptance
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is not accepted, and no contract is formed, until we confirm acceptance and successfully charge your payment method. We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel any order at our discretion.
Pricing and currency
All prices are listed and charged in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. While we work to keep listings accurate, products may occasionally be mispriced. If a pricing error is identified, we may cancel the affected order even if it has been confirmed or charged, and we will issue a full refund of any amount paid.
Authorization to charge
By providing a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use it and you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge the full order amount, including applicable taxes and any selected delivery upgrades, to that method. For certain orders we may place a temporary authorization hold prior to capturing payment.
Taxes
Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your shipping destination and is your responsibility. Tax rates are determined by the jurisdiction to which the order ships.
Order verification and fraud prevention
Because of the value of the products we sell, some orders may be subject to verification before fulfillment. We may contact you to confirm details or request additional information. Orders we are unable to verify, or that we reasonably suspect to be fraudulent, may be delayed or canceled.
Declined or failed payments
If a payment is declined or fails to process, your order will not be fulfilled until valid payment is received. We are not responsible for delays caused by declined or incomplete payments.
Chargebacks
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first so we can resolve it. Initiating a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the matter with us may delay resolution. Fraudulent chargebacks may be contested.
